This is a browser plug-in that makes it easy to convert among multimedia files. It works with all the major web browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome, and it offers a really convenient solution to convert video and audio files. Unfortunately, it also comes with the downsides inevitably caused by the fact that it’s a browser plug-in and that the conversion is performed online: the file upload process cannot be paused or stopped, and it can also take quite a lot of time especially when it comes to large files. Regrettably, these aren’t the only flaws. It also doesn't allow customizing individual output parameters like bit rate or frame rate, and it supports only 6 output formats: AVI, FLV, M4V, MP3, WAV, WMA.
On the other hand, it also comes with plenty of remarkable advantages. It’s a small and lightweight browser plug-in that can be installed and used with ease and spares the need to install and use an entire stand-alone application only to perform some simple, basic, multimedia file conversions. It’s also free and it supports plenty of input formats.
To sum it all up, it’s a nice program that can prove very handy especially if you prefer performing multimedia file conversions using an online service and a browser plug-in.
